Loving Critter Camp (Tentatively Scheduled for Summer 2025)
Want a rewarding and enriching experience for your animal-loving child during summer break?
Hanover Humane’s Loving Critter Camp is the place for your child! At Camp, the attendees learn about the animals that share our world from a knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff of instructors. Please note that our Camp focuses on age-appropriate lessons, crafts, and hands-on animal encounters for rising second through fifth graders. Students will encounter all sorts of creatures, large and small, and will handle a wide variety of friendly pets. Our 2025 Camp will tentatively be held the last week of July.
What will my child learn at Loving Critter Camp and where is it held?
Critter Camp lessons are fun and engaging! Children will be given the opportunity to learn about a variety of pets and complete a number of animal-related crafts and activities. Generally, each day features one or more types of animals and associated activities and, as applicable, children are allowed to meet and handle the animals being discussed under the supervision of the instructors. Camp activities will be held inside and outside, weather permitting.
Loving Critter Camp is held at Hanover Humane Society’s facility which is located just four miles North of Virginia Center Commons Mall. Nestled on 5 acres near Ashland (12190 Washington Highway), we have a facility equipped for our Wellness Clinic, our dog boarding facility, our dog kennel, our doggie play yard, and wooded walking trails.
